Summary
Bucky Barnes, better known as The Winter Soldier, has learned to stay undercover and not draw any attention. Keeping his head down in a small apartment in Bucharest is supposed to make that easier. That is, until his neighbor stumbles into his home and accidentally discovers who he really is. Although he tries to keep her away, she offers quiet companionship, and little by little, they begin to trust each other.
What began in a run-down apartment building in Bucharest turns into a bond that doesn't need many words. With a history as fractured as his own, they both begin to find something they never expected: a place to belong.
But as old memories resurface, new friendships are formed, and both of them search for the people they used to be, one question remains: Can someone who no longer knows who they are ever believe they deserve to be loved?
