Summary
Damian remembers… someone. A woman, probably, saying, “I love you.” He remembers moments of joy, of tears, of loss and of love. He remembers her teasing him about him being too serious and the shape of her in his bed. He just doesn’t remember who it was he shared those memories with. Her face is blurred in every picture in his mind. He remembers part of his vows, too, but never a name. He remembers how deeply he loved her.
He searches for her in every person, in the strangers on the street, in the villains he puts away. He knows her and he won’t stop searching until she is found.
Marinette watches from afar as her husband exhausts every avenue to find her. She watches as he tears himself apart, again and again in an attempt to remember. She is careful to stay out of his way, only allowing brief moments of viewing him in his work. She remembers the choice she had to make, only to lose him either way. A thousand lives, or everyone's memories of her. He wouldn't have let it go, but she is starting to realize that he isn't letting her go now either.

daminette (psuedo(?))amnesia fanfic with a lot of angst, pining, yearning, and banter <3
infinite rating out of ten. i’ve genuinely never experienced so many emotions over the span of one fic. i giggled, i squealed, i wept (a lot), and i smiled so hard my cheeks hurt. no argument— this is a genuine work of art.
