Summary
Marinette struggles to stay happy nowadays but what better way to change your mood than with a change of location? Adrien gave up his miraculous so he could start fresh. After all, his dad was in prison for being the super villain Hawkmoth and his other caretaker Nathalie died from over use of a broken Miraculous. So now Marinette is the guardian of the miraculous. Will her bullies lies get exposed? Will she find love in the most dangerous city in the world? Will she find out the identities of Gotham's heroes? Yes, probably, but its all about the ride and not the destination. This is mostly a salt and fluff fic.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng changed that- -though he'd still deny that he's friends with anyone- -and it's not long before their friendship turns into shared promises and midnight kisses.
After living in Gotham for years to escape Lila, Marinette is brought back to France by her parents. Third and final year of lyceé starts just as she expects, filled with ridicule and lies. It's when Marinette hears Lila's tall tale of being Damian Wayne's girlfriend that she decides to end it all.

Damian remembers… someone. A woman, probably, saying, “I love you.” He remembers moments of joy, of tears, of loss and of love. He remembers her teasing him about him being too serious and the shape of her in his bed. He just doesn’t remember who it was he shared those memories with. Her face is blurred in every picture in his mind. He remembers part of his vows, too, but never a name. He remembers how deeply he loved her.
He searches for her in every person, in the strangers on the street, in the villains he puts away. He knows her and he won’t stop searching until she is found.
Marinette watches from afar as her husband exhausts every avenue to find her. She watches as he tears himself apart, again and again in an attempt to remember. She is careful to stay out of his way, only allowing brief moments of viewing him in his work. She remembers the choice she had to make, only to lose him either way. A thousand lives, or everyone's memories of her. He wouldn't have let it go, but she is starting to realize that he isn't letting her go now either.

Summary
The days following the Final Battle brought a new and dangerous threat, new interest in Paris from international heroes, and more heartbreak than Marinette had thought possible. Her enemies are fast on her heels and Batman is desperate to find the lost hero of Paris. Will Marinette be able to keep up her disappearing act or will her past return to haunt her?
