Ruthie Myers didn’t become a podcast host by accident.
She graduated from the University of California with a master’s degree in public policy and a minor in feminist studies, and a lifetime of service-industry fieldwork. She was told that she was destined for more. She was told that she “wasted” her education. She was told that her degree was worthless and that her student loans would crush her dreams. But every shift as a waitress taught her more about empathy, boundaries, consent, vulnerability, and accountability than any classroom ever could.
She refused to surrender to the future she was told to accept.
