Summary
Far from everything he knows, including himself, Leonardo feels he is gradually losing his mind. Life in Rome, his university duties, his academic success—none of it seems to make sense in his head. He is hollow, void of emotion or drive, as blank as that canvas upon the forgotten easel tucked beside the window wall, which he has never touched. He yearns, however, to feel, to have a true connection—to touch and be touched, to share in the human warmth that seemed to stay behind in Florence the day he left for the Italian capital.
Yet, as he finds himself slipping away from his own body, he can barely separate illusion from reality when those gorgeous amber eyes haunt his mind—the very same eyes that so feverishly came to life on canvas, the exact frame he had once abandoned, still blank, in some random corner of the room. To him, that man made of paint felt far more tangible than anything else in the entire city.
Little did he know that, by believing in it so fiercely, his greatest obsession would become, quite literally, real.

Based on the Greek myth of Pygmalion and Galatea, adapted into a darker, more visceral aesthetic.
