   Summary

   A space mission was supposed to be the pinnacle of Adam’s career. Instead, he returned to Earth with strange golden marks glowing beneath his skin and a body that no longer feels entirely human.

   Between mandatory medical evaluations, relentless press, and the terrifying revelation that something is rewriting his DNA, his only refuge is the NASA research lab—specifically, the presence of Dr. Luzbel. A reserved, extraordinarily intelligent civilian scientist, he seems to quiet the unbearable noise in Adam's head simply by being near.

   What Adam doesn't know—or perhaps what his pride prevents him from admitting he is already discovering—is that Dr. Luzbel is no human scientist. He is Lucifer, the absolute monarch of Aegir-Thaal, who marked Adam in the cold void of space and will stop at nothing to protect the queen he has chosen.
