"My father is awake," Qifrey said, standing up to his feet and dusting himself off. He lifted his skirts once more, walking back to his front door. "I suggest you get going—" he paused, looking back, as he realized he didn't know Olruggio's name.
"Olruggio," he introduced himself formally, though he should've done that a long time ago. "But you can just call me Olly."
"I didn't ask."
"But you were wonderin', ain't ye?"
"You—!" A pretty blush appeared on the other man's cheeks, masking his flustered face with a huff. Stubborn and pretty. Just Olruggio's type. "What gives you the audacity?!"
"I've only got one life so I've gotta make the best of it."
Olruggio, a factory owner, seeks color in his otherwise dull life after a tragic fire took everyone he loved. Qifrey may be the answer to that, a church boy and a mentor with an ailing father, to fill the void in his heart.
