As the last notes of the chart topping single REDRED was sung, the blinding fire hydrant red lights dimmed on stage. The cheer of thousands of fans made Martin fight back a smile.
The five stars looked up, eyes ablaze and drinking in the view ahead of them. They were living the lives many could only dream of. Getting to do what they loved and having adoring fans was their life’s goal—one they’d finally achieved after years of hard work as kpop trainees.
The music died down, signaling the end of their set. It was almost time for them to be lowered down and off the stage via an elevatoresque platform in the center.
Two brightly glowing light sticks near the stage caught the attention of four members: Keonho, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and James. The lightsticks weren’t the ones their company sold–infact they looked almost completely homemade. One was crooked in some areas, the other was falling apart from enthusiastically being swung around, and both were a little hideous. However the spirit of the two people in the front row were what really caught four fifths of the group’s attention.
Even though the performance was over, the two girls up front were still cheering. They were highkey a little obnoxious and probably annoying other people near them but to the four K-pop stars…well they were absolutely mesmerised.
One of the girls caught James’ attention with her sparkling blue eyes and glossy light brown hair. He felt as if his heart stopped when he made direct eye contact with her. At that moment all he could think about was, Holy shi what the flip that is the most gorgeous person I have ever seen in my entire life omg I need her right here right now please say she’s single please please please y’know what its okay I can be a home wrecker I’m fine with that date me boo I’ll take you round the world. He wondered if his facial expression looked good enough to catch her attention. He involuntarily flexed his abs (even though his shirt was still on), and put his tongue to the roof of his mouth while simultaneously sucking in his cheeks just a smidge. He also clenched his other cheeks, but that wasn’t important…
The brunette’s friend, Ani, was also getting quite a bit of attention herself. She felt her face redden with blush as she realised Keonho, Juhoon, and Seonghyeon were intensely staring at her with smouldering looks in their eyes. Unsure if she was supposed to be scared or flattered, she stopped loudly cheering and turned to her friend for help.
“Uhhh…Kayla?” She whispered. “Am I being delusional or are three of the most hunkiest guys I’ve ever laid my gorgeous cacao colored orbs on staring at me?”
“Omg. Yes. Ani they totally are. Hurry and wave at them–maybe they’ll invite you backstage!”
Ani lifted a delicate, manicured hand and gave a shy wave. Keonho, Juhoon, and Seonghyeon’s jaws dropped all the way through the floor and Earth’s crust straight into its burning core.
The three were in a trance. Was that gorgeous baddie with electric teal stripes in her hair really waving at them? Surely not right? Surely they weren’t so lucky to be given even an inkling of attention from a girl who looked like she was blessed by three fairies with otherworldly beauty three times in a row?
Martin, however, was deeply confused and just trying to figure out why the platform wasn’t lowering. It had long passed the ending of the song and he was starting to get seriously concerned. It also didn’t help that James looked like he was in an intense staring contest and slightly drooling while his other groupmates were staring out into the void of fans, mouths open and looking hypnotized.
A couple moments after, the four love-struck members all simultaneously came to a conclusion: they absolutely had to invite the two absolute beauties. If they didn’t, it would be a lifetime of what-ifs, a lifetime of chasing that high they felt when they set their eyes on the two girls at the front.
Keonho, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and James opened their mouths all at the same time and said in unison: “Will you come to my cottage this summer?”
