So, for the playlist:
1. Panoramic View - AWOLNATION
I feel like this song is extremely fitting if you ship Wifies and Hummer. The constantly recurring lyric "I believe in magic" def mirrors both Hummer's radical theology and Wifies's growing faith not in Levi, but in Hummer. It's also a song with heavy romantic tones- "A romantic fool, I believe in magic" ToT like there's more but I'm not spoiling it if you're planning to give it a listen and a Levi sighting verdict lol.
2. in the sea - kensuke ushio
This soundtrack is from the Chainsaw man movie and has ZERO lyrics, but it's honestly beautiful and tragic at the same time, like Hummer drowning-
3. Record Player - Daisy the Great, AJR
There's an odd, disassociating vibe with this song. But it's positive- I think... The first singer (Daisy, I think), really suits Hummer. She's different, wild, already has escaped the clutches of modern expectations, while the second (AJR??), reminds me of Wifies, with his experiences changing as he finally lets go of the constant urge to conform (headcanon ToT).
4. The Line - Twenty One Pilots
We need to talk about how fitting this song is to the final drowning scene- (and yes, before anybody asks, I did watch Arcane lol). Like this song really encapsulates Wifies crossing the line, seeing Levi's vision, while Hummer succumbs. It leaves Wifies wondering if he's, in the end, failed Hummer... I really recommend you listen to this song.
5. How I Learned to Love the Bomb - Glass Animals
Suits both Hummer and Wifies when they're arguing lowkey-like the toxic side of their relationship. It's really like the lack of trust concerning the ideas and morals of the other. Wifies sees Hummer as insane, obstinate, and desperate, while Hummer sees this unswayable, empirical mind that he wants to "fix."
