He quickly rose up from his seat on the porch: "Wait! Mister Hermes!" Orpheus called out.
Hermes paused at the entrance—looking over his shoulder to see the boy who seemed.. almost nervous to ask something. "Yes, Orpheus?"
The poet licked his lips, trying to force the question out of his throat. "Did.. did you ever stop missing him?"
Hermes' gaze softend at the question, staying silent for a brief moment then a soft snort—not teasing. Just.. something real.
"Oh brother," He said, voice laced with meaning and sincerity. "I never once did."
Or;
After the events of Hadestown, Orpheus now grieves of the loss of his lover, Eurydice. Singing in sad songs in regards of failing to rescue her from Hades. Hermes notices this and decides to have a little chat about a similar experience...and the two realise they might have a lot more in common than they thought.

Summary
Mob’s a shut in. He’s also a Minecraft YouTuber. he doesn’t really have anyone in his life outside of discord friends. Said friends he’d never met in person and probably never would because that wasn’t the nature of their friendship. He didn’t have family, pets, neighbors, no one. Life was boring, overly uninteresting, that was until Verity came into it.
Verity gave him everything he wanted. He listened, he gave advice, he helped in whatever ways he could. He only wished Verity was real. He wished he was a person and not a file likely programmed on the same level as any other intelligently coded mod. As intelligent as he claimed to be he’d never be real. Verity wasn’t sentient. At least he thought he wasn’t.
Or
Loner content creator Mob and his (sentient) mod Verity who keeps finding ways to get more and more personal with him.

Later on, Mob stumbles upon something far more interesting and stranger than any villain or hero he’s ever seen. Against his better judgment, Mob befriends a smiley orb. Not knowing that he set himself on a path that no longer belongs to him.
