The Unraveling Of Man

Summary:

BB, BB-whatever-number-it-is-now, Black Buddy, Crow, whatever you wish to call him, as prided himself in several things. Being logical, quiet, composed, and good at getting things done.

But that's not an easy set of skills to have. To be somebody like that requires a lifetime of self discipline and control. Something that is not easy to have in this day and age.

So what happened when BB was exposed to reality shattering horrors nearly every day? When death is not the end but instead a minor roadblock? When your body is no longer yours? When every day, you're forced to be reminded of a life you tried desperately to leave behind?

AKA BB in his early career days Not Handling Any Of It Well. And CONTACT's response to that.

INCIDENT REPORT (AHE)/(02)/(001):

(FOR ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF VIEWING ONLY.)

Unit: CONTACT Anomalous Happenstance Exploratory Team #2/AHE Team 2

Offending party: BB17/"Black Buddy"/Member of AHE Team 2

Offended party/parties: STL25/"Second Team Leader"/Supervisor of AHE Team 2

Details: Offending Party experienced violent outburst towards Offended Party, Caused death of Offended Party and Offending Party

Reason: Offending Party experienced severe psychological distress during mission. Coping mechanism for distress was aggression.

Suggested action(s): As this is the first incident regarding BB17, the best course of action would be to further examine neural patterns/network and wipe any and all memories of outburst and the most triggering parts of the mission. STL29 has vouched for him, stating that he is "usually never like this" and "extremely cooperative and efficient most of the time." — Dr. Sier

Addtional notes: Another staff member with a problematic coping mechanism when the brain's fear response is triggered. While altering of the mind state will have more predictable results, the human brain is a difficult thing to try to control in any capacity. If tampering would prove to be unnecessarily traumatic to BB17 in any way, shape, or form that would hinder his work, might we instead try covert desensitization? Once his brain learns that violent outbursts are futile, he will instead disassociate like other staff members. Let's just hope that this time nobody develops another personality. Makes memory wiping difficult. — Dr. Logari

1. BB kills CH over DESSERT in the first episode. That man is not normal, nor does he have any sort of healthy coping mechanism for this god awful place (none of them do)

2. To love a character is to torment them, and if we follow that logic then I love BB dearly. So therefore he goes in the torture labyrinth along with his coworkers/polycule/whatever you see their relationship as.
