Born into one of the oldest pure-blood families, a member of Pansy Parkinson's inner circle, and passionate about magical creatures, Daphne Greengrass believed she knew exactly who she was. Or so she thought until a certain green-eyed Gryffindor came into her life and challenged everything she thought she was and desired. What if her existence and beliefs were all lies and manipulations. Is she more than a great name and a pretty face? Or Haphne from Order of the Phoenix and beyond, woven into a canon-compliant-ish retelling of the story!

Hello!
This is my take on Haphne, but with a focus more centred on Daphne’s character, her family, moral conflict and her relationship with Harry starting in HPOP.
I originally started writing this fic during the pandemic (back when I had an absurd amount of free time ahah). Since I’ve been working on it on and off, but a few months ago I unexpectedly found the motivation to continue it again (ofc during the exact moment I was supposed to be studying for my exams). A good portion of the story is already written and I’m hoping to finally finish it!!

Chapter Text

This story, although it follows the outline of the books, has been changed to add elements or characters. I have therefore taken some liberties with the story and with certain aspects of the magical world of Harry Potter.

The writing of the main characters has been designed to be as faithful to them as possible. As for the characters who are not well developed in the books, I have given them my own interpretation. The new characters are of course a pure fruit of my imagination.
