    Stolas pulled uncomfortably at the purple sequin dress that Blitzø had him wear. “Blitzø, is this really necessary?”

    “Of course, you look like a proper magician assistant.” Blitzø wore his regular outfit with the exception of a top hat on his head. They were meeting in the boss’ office after hours. In the course of one day, Blitzø had acquired a full collection of magic tricks and costumes. “Now I just need to think of a good stage name. How about Blitzø the Magnificent?”

    “I think I prefer the Great and Powerful Blitzy,” teased Stolas.

    Blitzø flinched at his old nickname. “No way.”

    Stolas made a sultry smile. “I believe I can make it worth your while. Besides, you know I have some magic of my own.”
