“Who is she?”
Celine leaned back.
“Zoey Myung.”
Rumi waited.
Celine raised an eyebrow.
“You’ve never heard of her?”
“No.”
Celine looked genuinely offended.
“Rumi.”
“What?”
“She has three international awards.”
“Good for her.”
“She sold out arenas in the United States.”
“Good for her.”
“She has multiple platinum records.”
“Still good for her.”
Celine stared.
Rumi stared back.
“Do you actually listen to music?”
“Sometimes.”
“Your definition of sometimes is concerning.”
Rumi ignored her.
“She’ll be staying in Seoul for the foreseeable future.”
Rumi looked up.
“And?”
“And you’re going to be assigned to her.”
Silence.
Rumi looked at the photograph again.
Then back at Celine.
“No.”
Celine blinked.
“You haven’t even met her.”
“I don’t need to.”
“Rumi.”
“I’m busy.”
