    I do not want Grace to be hurt. It is the most precious creature in my life. I would be lying to myself if I said I did not love it. I have never had such a close bond with a being in such a short measure of time. I adore its voice, and its laughter. My hearts sing when it delights in a discovery, and when it tells a story. I surge closer when it leans on the xenonite that separates us - when a tap on the barrier enables me to see right inside it, to its bones and nervous system. 

    I want to treasure it always.
