Harua returned, leaning down over the edge of the couch to shove his letter into Maki’s ashen face. He stared– not at the piece of paper, but at the boy. As crazy as it sounded it was…undeniable. He was the bunny. The bunny was him. The hair, the eyes, even down to the way his nostrils flared in emphasis when he spoke. As he tilted his head curiously up, two long, soft ears flopped clumsily where they were nestled in his hair.
"I’m Harua,” the boy said, his voice sweeter than cream. “Let’s be friends!”
