After the passing of Chuuya’s master, the executive was forced to quickly take charge. The other members of the Port Mafia urged him to do so. He wouldn’t say he enjoyed his position as the leader but Tachihara and his brother’s words of compliment about the gravity manipulator being fit for it made him accept the red scarf and the uniform of superiority over the Port Mafia.
After Atsushi was sent away, though Chuuya never really trusted that boy, things had gotten quieter in the Port Mafia. Kyouka was now his apprentice. She reminded Chuuya a lot like how he was when he was Kouyou’s— except this time, Kyouka didn't have her very own Dazai like he did. One who would pester him each day, demanding things like he owned everything back then— and maybe if that were enough for Dazai to not leave him all alone that day, Chuuya would give him the world. Day by day, that man’s presence would slowly but surely, erase itself on its own.
