Scott was just lying lazily on his throne, incredibly bored, as his favourite butler was currently off to town to gather the blood they owed his lord. How cruel could a human be to leave him here all alone (there were theoretically a lot of others around, but they didn’t interest the lord)and sad and bored. And why was it taking Abolish so long to come back, Scott had just thought of a fun new game he wanted to play with the other. A game that would end with his butler as a flustered mess, this time, surely it would happen.
That's when Scott heard the distant shouting of humans as a horde of them walked to his castle, another mob, it seemed, how dreadfully boring and repetitive humanity could be. Well, hell just have to cut this one down too. He had done it so often before, it wasn’t even entertaining anymore. So with that Scott got up and walked to the door, so he could face the mob that was currently standing on his bridge.
The moment he exited the castle the shouting quieted down and one of the humans presumably the one to lead this whole ordeal stepped forward and shouted his demand, “Surrender to us now, you monster.”
“Or what,” Scott mockingly chuckled, humans were truly so stupid. What on earth made them think that he would ever surrender to them?
“Or we'll kill him,” the human declared while pointing back to the mob where two other humans were holding someone chained, a hostage. Abolish…. They had Abolish and he didn’t look good. It was clear that he tried to fight back but must have been overpowered by the sheer quantity of those human pests. His face was bruised up and one of the humans holding him had a sword to his throat, close enough to cut, but not deep enough to kill yet.
“What game do you think you're playing here?” Scott asked in an intrigued way that faked disinterest. He couldn’t let them know his situation.
“You surrender to us right now and we will chain you in silver to be executed in front of the whole town and we realise him or you keep your freedom and your beloved butler will be dead.” The human laid out his options. So one of them would have to die here… he couldn’t let it be Abolish.
“Just let him go already” Scott huffed as he put his hands up in surrender letting the humans bind him with silver as Abolish was slowly released. Looking at Scott with pitiful and sad eyes, while trying to think of a plan to stop all of this. He couldn’t lose the vampire.
As they led Scott past Abolish, the vampire shortly stopped and leaned over to whisper in his butler's ear, “Tha a h-uile càil ceart gu leòr, a ghràidh; fhad ’s a tha thu sàbhailte, tha mise toilichte. Mar sin, bi beò — air mo shon-sa.”
And with that Scott was dragged away leaving Abolish alone on the castle's doorstep as tears flowed out of his eyes before he ran in to find anyone who could help. Anything to save Scott, he can't lose everything again. Scott can't die because he wasn’t strong enough.
