Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Dark Rise

Summary:

Part 1.1: My Happiness

“There are things that seem simple yet prove impossible to hold onto for a lifetime. Happiness is one of them.
It appears to be a simple thing within anyone’s reach, yet that very simplicity drives people to suffer, to writhe in agony, and to endure unspeakable horrors just to wrest it back.
How painful and cruel it all is.”

Donnie gazed vacantly at the figures passing by on the Chinatown street, an inexplicable, wrenching ache tightening in his chest. He yearned to be like them—to experience that thing called “freedom,” something neither he nor his brothers had ever been able to grasp. But he couldn't; he would forever be unable to reach such a luxury.

Forever, he was destined to remain trapped in the cage that had held him captive since birth.

Forever…

But then again, who knows? Even a caged bird might one day find a way to break free.

(Basically, this is my own TMNT AU)

My English is pretty bad, so I hope you won't pay too much attention to my grammar or word choice.
Also, I don't use AI. (Fuck AI—fuck AI to hell.)
