Work Text:
Palla laid her wares out on the stall before her. It was a good haul. Jewellery of all makes and manners, some of it very fine. She had pocketed her favourites for herself, of course. Finders keepers, as the saying went, and Palla was very good at finding things.
The dead gave up their goods to her. They could hardly protest. Dead men told no tales, as said another saying. None but a corpse could be trusted with a secret. Palla knew that well, and she had many secrets to keep. Many and more, never to fall from her lips.
