As the world faded around him, Severus Snape looked into the anguished green eyes of a boy he’d treated terribly. Severus knew he deserved this end: pain and bitter regret. That was his final thought as the blackness swallowed him whole. That sweet abyss didn't last. Had he survived? Morgana, he hoped not; there was nothing left for him after all. When he finally worked up the courage to open his eyes, Severus was met with the sight of the hospital wing and a very young-looking Poppy Pomfrey. She informed him of his condition and the Headmaster's wish to see him. As he took in his location, her apparent youth, and her mention of Albus, he came to a horrifying conclusion. He was a teenager, and he'd just survived a murder attempt via underage werewolf. If this was real and not some post-death hell, there was no way he was going to allow events to occur as they once had.
