   Summary

   Ryland Grace and Rocky are intercepted on the way to Erid by a group of... Humans? Upon being stopped and the Hail Mary being bordered, Grace is given a difficult choice: stop and come with them to their station to study a new sub species of human, or lose Rocky to the armed sociopaths, who threaten to kill and dissect Rocky.

   To Grace, it's a clear the path he'll take. He won't let them touch Rocky. He won't lose his best friend.

   But this... Specimen of a new sub species? It is unlike anything Grace ever could picture.
