Work Text:
Grian has a sick feeling in his chest as he sits here on the couch at Scar’s apartment leaning against Scar, rain pouring down outside the window in the dark night.
The room is silent as they just sit there, a feeling of dread filling the room.
“Scar…” Grian says, “We need to talk.”
Scar takes a slow breath, “I know we do…”
The silence takes over the room again.
“Scar…You know I love you.” Grian says, not moving, he does not want to look Scar in the eye as a tear falls down his cheek, “but this isn’t working out like it used to.” Grian says, more tears falling from his eyes.
“I understand.” Scar says, a little choked up, “I understand.” he repeats, a few tears falling from his own eyes.
It feels like a chapter coming to an end, but one that’s been coming, they have both felt it for a while now, but just when it was to be addressed, they were both avoiding it.
Grian sits up, whipping at his tears, “I’m sorry Scar.”
Scar moves slowly, turning to face Grian, “It’s okay Gri.” he says, tears slowly falling down his face.
Grian’s chest aches looking at the man he’s loved for so long.
The shorter man reaches out, cupping Scar’s cheek, pressing a light kiss to his lips, muttering against them, “I’m sorry Scar.”
Scar mumbles back, “I’m sorry Grian.”
