The thing with diaries is that people think there is some sort of privacy. There isn't. The second someone leaves a diary lying about someone, someone will grab it and snoop. Only some secrets got you laughed at, and others got you beaten up in the back of the parking lot. So, Eddie Munson did what his mother taught him. Collect memories in music, record tapes.
If only Max minded her own business instead of stealing other people's diaries, so he wouldn't have Steve Harrington and Billy Hargrove waiting at his door, while their secrets threatened to drag them under.
