Summary
Shelby and Pyro's situations couldn’t be more different. She’s Scott’s favorite, the fledgeling who can do no wrong, and Pyro is… What? A wayward failure, in need of a firm guiding hand? A punching bag? An outlet?
Shelby gets none of that. She gets hunting trips with Scott, new clothes, bottles of blood whenever she wants. She gets treated like she’s made of spun sugar, like she’ll melt if she’s exposed to the brutal pecking order under which the rest of the vampires live.
