Summary
Dante has one goal for freshman year: keep his head down, ace his classes, and avoid people.
Then he gets stuck rooming with Chase—a cocky, charming frat boy with too many followers and an irritating inability to take a hint. Dante can't stand him. Chase, meanwhile, finds his antisocial, sharp-tongued roommate fascinating. And Dante's refusal to like him? That's just a challenge.
What begins as Chase's mission to win Dante over quickly turns into a routine of teasing, arguments, petty competitions, and far too much time spent together. But somewhere between the bickering, late-night conversations, and unexpected moments of vulnerability, something starts to shift.
Neither of them notices.
Dante buries his feelings beneath stubbornness and denial. Chase laughs his off as part of the game. And before either of them realizes it, their rivalry has become friendship, their friendship has become something more, and they're both dangerously close to falling for the one person they never expected to care about.
The problem?
They're both far too emotionally constipated to figure it out.
