Delicate heart

Summary:

— or, Caesar has a soft spot for Leewon and will do anything to protect him and make him happy.

Notes:

Hello loves!
I'm so happy to be back again and I can't wait to work on this fanfiction. Unlike the previous one that I've written, this one is entirely dedicated to Cesar being extremely affectionate towards Leewon.

I noticed that the one and only fanfic that I posted in April (April... it has been a LOOONG time...) was just a summary of the plot of the manhwa. Like I stated in that fanfiction's notes, it was my first time after a while writing fanfics after a retired Wattpad user (rip to wattpad you will not be forgotten) and I'm sorry if the fanfic seemed bland and dull, or very similar to the manhwa.
Unfortunately, because of school and personal matters, I couldn't find the opportunity to write other fanfictions or modify the only one I've written.

Because of that, I've decided to take matters into my own hands and write something that has been stuck in my head since I've finished R&C: a nice, understanding and caring Caesar who won't shot, drug or hurt Leewon in any way.

Like it's stated in the tags, this series will be only one shots, no limit to the number of chapters (so if you have recommendations feel free to comment them or DM me)!

(Ps: keep in mind that english is not my first language so I'm truly sorry for any mistakes I omit)

Enjoy the reading! ♡

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: First Meeting ♡

Chapter Text

Jung Leewon.

A half korean and half russian man in almost his thirties.

An extrovert attorney fearing nothing and no one, always putting his clients first than his well-being.

He loves to help those who can't afford a lawyer but still need one.

From these people, Leewon will accept anything, even if it's not money.

Unfortunately, that leads the man to a poor lifestyle and there's a reason why he's running out of the station to get to work as soon as possible.

He swears that running to work instead of spending his money on transport tickets is a good opportunity to save money AND keep himself in shape (maybe he says that because he cannot afford a gym membership...?);

but he doesn't care about any of that, as long as he does his job and helps his clients, that's all that matters.

He manages to get up way before he normally should, get ready to go to work and somehow never be late.

Today was quite different.

Leewon has promised to himself many times he wouldn't drink during the week, but the case he has been working on was quite complicated and he needed to distract himself somehow.

Between a good soju or cheap wine and a smoke outside he would've always preferred the first option.

Terrible decisions lead to awful consequences, and there he is, running more than he ever has because he woke up late. He didn't hear the alarm clock or he turned it off by accident, one of those two for sure.

He has never been late to work, but somehow today it felt like if he didn't show up in time he would've been doomed.

He pays no attention to the road ahead of him whatsoever, hoping that whoever is walking in the opposite direction will move to the side to let him through.

"I just have to run fast enough to be there on time!", that's the motivational phrase the lawyer kept repeating in his head, hoping his legs wouldn't give out.

He gives all himself, no matter how much he's sweating or how badly his muscles are starting to hurt, he cannot stop. He just needs to turn to the left and-

Suddenly his nose crashes into something, or rather... someone.

He holds his nose in his hand and shuts his eyes in pain, his legs relaxing the moment hw feels an arm sneaking around his waist to hold him.

"Ow... my nose" he mumbles in Korean, his head slightly spinning from both the impact and the alcohol intake. He slightly opens his eyes, finding difficult to focus on the person in front of him due to the sunlight hitting his face, but once he manages to focus on the person's face, he cannot look anywhere else.

He cannot be human. His blond hair, dimples on his cheeks and his purple-grey-ish eyes... was he a humanoid or a god fallen down from Mont Olympus?

"Are you okay?" The man asks in Russian with a deep voice that anyone would fear.

Leewon stared for more than he should, he was too amazed and stunned to answer the man in front of him. After a few seconds, he clears his throat.

"I'm fine, thank you..." Voice tinged with amazement and a slight embarrassment. "Are you hurt anywhere?" The lawyer asks to be sure he didn't cause any problems.

The blonde stares at Leewon with studying eyes. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine."

He was studying Leewon's features as well: black hair, monolid eyes and abyss-like irises that could trap anyone.

"I'm very sorry that I bumped into you, I'm late for work and I can't afford being even a second late... so I should get go-"

He cannot even finish the sentence before the other man speaks.

"If you'd like, I can give you a ride." The blonde man slightly smirking.

The lawyer kinda frowned at that. He would've loved to be helped in this very moment, but how could he trust a stranger? How would he know if he has malicious intentions?

"How can I trust you? I just met you and I don't even know your name." Leewon grimaces, although trying to trust the stranger due to the fact that he was losing precious seconds of his time.

"I promise I don't bite, but if you don't like the idea then..." The other man shrugs his shoulders. "I'll get going then."

Leewon looks at the man turning around and leaving and looks at the clock on his wrist, noticing that there was no time to refuse.

"Wait!" Leewon shouted to grab the other man's attention. "I'll come with you..."

"Follow me then."

Leewon follows the blonde to his car, to only freeze when he sees bodyguards surrounding the car and the moment they spot an unknown individual, they all point a gun towards the attorney.

"Lower the guns, he means no harm." The blonde states coldly and all the guards do as he has told. Leewon can't lie that the scene before him felt slightly frightening, but he swallowed down the thought with a silent gulp.

A bodyguard opens the car door for the blonde and he waits for Leewon to get in the car.

"After you." The man gestures and Leewon murmurs a thank you before getting in.

Once both are in the car, two bodyguards get in the car as well, one in the passenger seat and the other one behind the wheel.

"I'll be starting the car, Tsar." The bodyguard states before driving off. The blonde nods and crosses his arms.

At the title 'Tsar', Leewon is taken aback by a bit. What was the reason as to why he was called this way? Why does he have so many armed bodyguards? But most importantly, who is this man?

The lawyer was brought back to the world when the other man asked him where he was directed to and Leewon replied that he could've been dropped in the centre of Moscow.

He then took a business card from his bag and hand it to the blonde.

"By the way, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Leewon Jung and I'm an attorney!" He smiled confidently yet formally.

The bodyguard sitting in the passenger seat handed the lawyer the blonde's business card, which surprised him, however he wasted no time in putting in his pocket.

"I'm Caesar." He offered a soft smile and Leewon returned the smile as well.

The car came to a stop in the centre of Moscow.

"Thank you for the ride, Mr. Caesar. I'll be going now." He opened the car door but immediately stopped, a hand grabbing his arm and stopping him from moving forward.

"Aren't you forgetting something, lawyer?"

Leewon turned his head almost comically and giggled.

"Thank you."

He said in the most gentle and most genuine tone Caesar has ever heard and because of that, he drops the grip from Leewon'a arm and the lawyer walks towards his work place.

Caesar stares at him towards the window and immediately looks at the business card he has in his hand.

"Yuri."

"Yes Tsar?" The bodyguard behind the wheel stares at him through the rearview mirror.

"I want you to report every single detail about this lawyer." He states in a cold tone.

"It will be done immediately, Tsar."
