   Summary

Loki and Mobius enter a decadent party on an alien world to save an important envoy from assassination.

Everything quickly goes down hill as Loki takes a sip of poisoned champagne.

   …

‘He met Loki’s eyes, parting his lips to say what he thought of the beverage, when Loki’s expression shifted with frightening speed.
   Loki tried to swallow.
   Loki blinked heavily.
   “Loki, what’s wrong-“
The crowd was a throng of chatter and nonsense, Mobius’s voice losing volume in comparison.
   Loki lips parted wetly.
He spat blood straight down Mobius’s dress shirt in a crimson splatter.
Mobius’s heart rate spiked, adrenaline hitting him like he’d been jumpstarted by a car battery. ‘
