In which, instead of Peter leaving his letter for you to find, you never know Spider-Man as Peter Parker.
When Jean Grey freezes a part of New York, you're shown memories of Spider-Man through his perspective. You find out that he used to date you. So you break up with your boyfriend to be with Spider-Man once again. The only issue... You still don't know who Spider-Man is, so you can't even find him to let him know you know. Why didn't she show you any memories where he was looking in the mirror? Or at least one where someone said his name! You found out who he was once before. You can do it again, right?
