Summary
Gabriela Serrano has known Rafael Barba for years.
Long enough to know when he’s bluffing. Long enough to remember every warrant argument they ever had. Long enough to know he was in love with Olivia Benson before Rafael managed to admit it to himself.
She loved him anyway. Quietly, inconveniently, and without asking him for anything he wasn’t ready to give.
After the Wheatley trial leaves Rafael’s friendship with Olivia in pieces, something between Gabi and Rafael finally shifts. Dinner becomes a date. A near-kiss becomes a real one. Years of attraction stop being theoretical.
