    Summary

Loki doesn't get sick. He doesn't bleed, doesn't break, doesn't ever admit to being anything less than fine. Which is exactly the problem after Stephen finds gold blood drying on a Midtown street from a fight where nothing touched Loki. He learns the hard way that the version of Loki who insists he's fine is the version in real danger.

Stephen realizes it's a race against the clock to find a cure while Loki fades inch by inch. As Stephen tears through every text, every realm, every desperate theory he has, refusing to accept that some things can't be healed with magic or medicine.

But the answer might be simpler than any of that. It might be going back to the old ways, with prayer, and offerings, and absolute and complete devotion. Or, there might be no cure at all, and that's just not something Stephen can even entertain.

A life, a universe without Loki should not be allowed, and Stephen is determined to ensure it doesn't happen.

(I like the idea of the "gods" having gold blood, which we saw in Thor: Love and Thunder. So, Loki and Thor have gold blood)
