“Is that so?” He asks smugly while she keeps herself from strangling him just so he’d stop looking at her like he just won.
“You’re—you’re being illogical.”
“And you’ve got a vivid imagination.”
“I’m not imagining your injury!”
“No,” he agrees. “You’re jumping to the worst case scenario.”
“Worst case scenario would be you being—”
“Dead?” He prods. Offers. “I recall a few months ago where that’s exactly what you wished for.”
Celine’s arms drop to her sides. “You know why.”
“Does that not apply anymore?” He asks then and keeps his eyes on her when she glares at him.
