my mami says i was born on the ice but i think seeing them on the ice made me actually want to commit to the sport
i didnt like hockey growing up that much. it was too much for me sometimes

hes still kinda cocky LOL but i think thats just because hes more confident speaking in russian
i also feel like on the even rarer occasion the league bothers translating the rare ilya russian interview
they dont capture a lot of the nuance in his words like they do with interviews done in like french :(
i remember in his rookie season there was an interview that asked him about hollander
and he just went on about how he was excited to see hollander out on the ice.
not even just competing against him.
the way he said it i think he just likes seeing hollander skate.
