Summary
He remembers, when the last of his senses are on the tip-mountain edge of fading away, he hears muffled cries of a distant girl. Someones standing besides, trying to comfort her to the best of their abilities— blonde hair, tips of black beneath blurry vision. He feels someone’s arms, scrawny yet tight grasp despite the deceiving build, wrapped around near his lower abdomen, soft pressure that resists to let go.
He sees many other figures, but its hard to tell which is which. But they’re standing guard, unwilling to walk away, awaiting to catch him when he falls— even if it’ll be far from possible from then on.
Even as his body grows cold, he feels the last sparks of warmth blooming from beneath thin-white sheets pulled up to his chest.
He knows he isn’t alone, and somehow that makes the fall a lot more easier to bear with.
