Summary
Frank is, odd. With affection that is, in many other ways too but that’s a box Peter doesn’t feel like opening. He ridicules Peter, makes fun of him every chance he gets, which is very often. Claims he wants nothing more than for the younger spider to leave him alone. Then something strange happens, it’s like a light switch goes off and the older man will turn and say something sickly sweet or listen intently to him ramble on and on about science far beyond his knowledge. He will buy him food and leave it at his door when he knows Peter lost himself in his tinkering and forgot to eat. Then the names. All in one go the man will say something like,
“Hey fuckhead, you want bacon or sausage? I’m making waffles, you gotta eat baby.”
I mean what the hell is Peter supposed to take from that?
OR
Five different names of endearment that Frank uses on Peter, each name carving small cracks in his walls, cracks that let the kid in as much as he fights to stop it.
One time Peter gives up understanding the older man’s intentions and decides what he wants for himself.
