As Peter walks out of earshot, Wade lets out a frustrated noise, fake-strangling Peter’s retreating form. “I try helping someone one fucking time, and he has to be the most aggravating, hot person in the city!”
“Hot?” Miles makes a face.
Deadpool drags his hands down his face. “...But fine, Rome wasn’t built in a day. If I could convince that guy that I’m good, surely Spidey will see that I’m good, too!”
Miles’s eyes grow wide. “Uh, maybe that guy just wants to be left alone instead?”
Wade barks out a mean laugh. “No, no way.” He shakes his head. “This is exactly the experience that I’ve been waiting for. This is absolutely fucking perfect. Thanks Spider-clone!” He lets out a villainous laugh, rubbing his hands together. “Now to find that wallet…”
“Oh boy.” Miles says, watching Wade go before his eyes drift down to the ripped bag of dropped groceries and cash. Eh, why not. “...At least my parents taught me never to waste food or money.”
