Chapter Text
I was brushing my silky blonde fins and staring into my own glowing blue orbs in the mirror. I had just finished reading the latest chapter of steamypockets’s latest fic, the darkest hours, which added my tears to the already salty water.
“Y/N!” my bitchy-fishy, tilapia-ass mom yelled across our fish hole.
“What, you old angler?” I swimmed quickly to her.
“These waters are getting too polluted from the 2010 BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, so I’m moving out!” She has an evil look in her foggy fish orbs. “And I need money to do that, so I’m selling you, Y/N!”
“What the fish? To who??”
“There’s a world-famous salmon fanfic author, steamy-something.”

“s-s-s-s-steamypockets…” I stuttered pathetically. “My name is Y/N, and I’m your biggest fan!”
“Y/N?” steamypockets said. “That name… reminds me of a fic I wrote once. One I never posted. I haven’t thought about that fic in a long time…”
“A-a fic? That you never posted??”
“Are you forgetting that you belong to me and my tumbler moots now? I ask the questions here! Let’s start with your opinion on the American education system…”
