Work Text:
Eijirou liked to think he was a pretty observent guy, all things considered. Mainly becuase he has always been good at reading people; he'd noticed most of Katsuki's tells before they started dating at the end of their first year.
He noticed how Katsuki would get a restless twitch in his fingers when he was eager to set his quirk off, the sharp inhale he took when he was softeneing his tone or when he needed a break. Or the way when he was embarrassed, he would set little crackles of explosions off - he noticed this tell when he first kissed Katsuki on their Aquarium date.
But somehow, for reasons the universe could laugh at him forever for, he had managed to overlook one extremely important truth until now. That Katsuki Bakugou was a completely ridiculous, stupidly attractive nerd. Not in the way that he 'barely needs to study to pass a test' nerd, or not even a 'secretly reads hero theory books at night' nerd (that was more Midoriya anyway)
He was different.
Katsuki nerdiness came in the form of when they study Katsuki had his secret glasses perched on his nose, barely hanging on while he scrawled his notes. Eijirou always felt himself swooning when the glasses came out becuase they were only for him. No one else in the class knew about them. He was special.
Another thing Katsuki does is lie on his stomach with his feet kicking the air behind him while mutterring about the structural weaknesses of Pro Heroes costumes, which was actually one of their essays they had to write last week.
Katsuki, once, was reading nineteenth century literature just for the fun of it.
Eijirou had walked into his room on a random Tuesday afternoon - also one of their study date nights - fully expecting to try and drag his Boyfriend away for an impromptu spar, or even pounce on him to cuddle since they hadn't had the chance to that day. Or both if Katsuki was in an extra good mood. But then, he swung the door open and froze.
Katsuki was on his bed in one of Eijirou's hoodies and his own black sweats, his glasses balanced on his nose. Katsuki's hair was slightly damp after, what Eijirou presumed, was a shower. Then, he glanced down to what was in Katsuki's lap; a thick ancient-looking novel sat in front of him. It was filled with long paragraphs that almost gave poor Eijirou a migraine even trying to read.
And Katsuki wasn't just reading it. No, he was annotating it. Eijirou noticed neat little markings in the corners of the page or down the sides of the page. They were nothing like the chaotic scrawls Eijirou would produce - Katsuki had said once during a study date, that he wrote so messy becuase he thought quicker then his brain.
"Babe?" Eijirou asked curiously. The air in the room felt sacred like he was walking in on something he should not have seen. Probably how Denki and Hanta felt walking in on them making out on the couch in the Common Room a few months back. Katsuki looked up over the edges of his black framed glasses and he pushed them up with one finger. Gods, is he tryna kill him? Eijirou nearly fainted at the sight.
"What?" Katsuki asked, frowning in that tiny, uncharacteristically confused way he only ever showed to Eijirou. His brow furrowed and Eijirou resisted the urge to smoothe it with his fingers - last time he done that Katsuki had bitten them.
"you're...reading?" He asked dumbly.
"It's a book, Dummy. What elese would I do? Juggle it?" Katsuki's insult was playful as it was cushioned by a faint smile tuggling his lips. Fuck, he was so beautiful.
Eijirou walked in slowly, like he was approaching a wild animal. "What book is it?"
Katsuki turned it so he could see and Eijirou squinted. He couldn't read the title, or it was in a language he didn't recognise. Maybe latin? "Katsuki," He asked carefully, "Is this...Homework?" If it was, Eijirou might as well have just sank into the floor. There was no way Mic-Sensei would be so mean to his class where most of them could barely read a sentence of english? Right.
"No, Ei." Oh thank god.
"Oh, is it for Aizawa-Sensei? Extra credit?"
"No."
"Is it a...punishment?" Did Katsuki get into a fight with Midoriya again? Oh gods.
Katsuki huffed, "Are you done with your dumb guessing game?"
"I'm just tryna understand why you would read something with zero explosions if it was not for extra credit or an assignment."
Katsuki rolled his eyes, flicking through the page with his finger, almost like he was caressing it. "It's good. The author's got this insane pacing and theres a good moral conflict from the Protagonist. It's actually fucking interesting not like the usual good-versus-evil shit nowadays-" It comes to Eijirou then - Holy shit! Katsuki looks happy talking about it. He looks geuinely happy, like when he's fighting or sparring with Eijirou. His eyes were bright, his cheeks faintly pink. His whole posture was relaxed as he tapped the page again like he was dying for someone to listen to him ramble about his book.
"You really like this huh, Kats?" Eijirou stated.
Katsuki stopped and gave him an expression Eijirou had only seen once. A look of shyness. He had seen it first when Eijirou had asked him out and Katsuki had panicked so much he had said no at first. Eijirou felt kinda guilty that Katsuki felt too shy or maybe too embarassed to come to him about something he liked. like he was unsure what Eijirou would say or how he would react. "Yeah," Katsuki muttered, turning away, his cheeks flashing a darker pink. Almost purple. "I read this shit when i wanna think."
"You think a lot." he says in awe, while looking at all the little thoughts Katsuki has poured onto these two pages.
Katsuki lets out a breath, "Yeah, when i get stuck in my head, reading kinda helps my brain shut the hell up." The softness in his expression made Eijirou's chest ache. And katsuki must have noticed his lovestruck expression because that beautiful shy expression was replaced by a familiar scowl.
"Don't look at me like that, Shitty Hair."
Eijirou leaned forward however, placing both his hands either side of Katsuki, completely fiilling Katsuki view so he would have to look up at Eijirou. He loved the fact secretly that Katsuki, unlike the rest of the boys in 1A, had not grown above 5'10. Eijirou himself was 6'2 and he still remembers the day they came back from summer break to start their second year and Katsuki would not speak to him for a whole week because of it. "You have no idea how genuinely attractive this is."
Of course Eijirou knew he read, but this - the annotating - was new. Katsuki's little thoughts were journalled in his book. It was so fucking cute.
Katsuki's ears went red instantly. Even after three years of dating, Katsuki couldn't handle flirting. "Shut up, idiot."
"No, really," Eijirou smiles, "You're like so brainy-brainy."
He hears Katsuki mutter a quiet "What the fuck" under his breath before he actually says, "Please shut up, Ei."
"You're like a certified genius!" Eijirou wants to make him go even more red. Sue him! He likes making his boyfriend blush. "Maybe you're even smarter then Yaomomo and Iida?"
"I'm gonna blast your dumbass-"
"And you've hid this from me for three years!" Katsuki snarls him as Eijirou places his hand on his heart in mock hurt. "How could my handsome boyfriend keep this from me!?"
Katsuki shoves his shoulder, but with his glasses on, the effect was about as threatening as a wet kitten. "I wasn't hiding anythin'" He looks away, "I just didn't bring it up."
"You annotated," Eijirou whispered, again in awe, pointing at the tiny perfect notes in his book, "You made notes."
Katsuki snatched his book away. "Hey! Don't look at them!"
"Are you embarassed? Aww baby, don't be embarassed- it's very cute!-"
"I'm not embarassed." He pulls eijirou down so he's on the bed facing him. "And i am not cute!"
He was absolutely embarassed.
And he absolutely was the cutest boy in the whole world.
Eijirou was so in love.
His next discovery of Katsuki supposed "Nerdiness" happened three days later during a Bakusquad 'study session'.
It was a chill Saturday afternoon and it was the perfect mood to do some homework, maybe watch a movie or train. Despite Katsuki's extremely loud request to study, Mina had already picked a movie and Denki had already brought snacks, and Hanta was halfway to melting into the beanbag.
So, Katsuki had been stubborn and he sat on the couch and flipped open his notebook while some action movie played in the background.
Eijirou looked down ten minutes into the movie at Katsuki's notebook - it was a new one he had never seen before. His eyes widened as he saw diagrams, equations, notes written perfectly. There was a full breakdown on the page of how Denki's quirk capacity increased when paired with some grounding exercises. The next page had detailed calculations of Mina's acid viscocity changes.
The movie was forgotten when Eijirou flapped his arms erratically to get the others to turn while Katsuki hadn't noticed. They all looked down and their mouths dropped in sync. "Katsuki..." Mina breathed, "You wrote all of this?"
He looked up, and he looked offended by both Mina's stupid question (since a pen was clearly in his hand) and by the look of awe in their faces. "Yeah well, since i'm not studying," He looked up pointedly at each of them, "I had to use my free time somewhere else-"
"Free time?" Denki echoed, "Dude, this looks like soemthing a scientist would publish!"
"it's not that complicated Dunce face," Eijirou notices his cheeks have the beginnings of blush creeping on them. Despite his cockiness, Katsuki never knew how to take a compliment that wasn't about his quirk. "but of course you would think-"
"No! No Bakubro, there are graphs!" Hanta argued.
"So? We've done them in class morons."
"They're colour coded."
Katsuki crossed his arms, "you're all being dramatic-"
"-You're so fucking smart, babe." Eijirou beamed, leaning against Katsuki head and pressing a sloppy kiss to his temple. Katsuki tried to elbow him but Eijirou already had placed his arm around Katsuki (like he did before they were dating) and pulled him in close.
Katsuki grumbled and complained and muttered that Eijirou was a "Clingy bastard." but he didn't actually try to move away.
And then, it got worse.
Well, it got worse for Katsuki.
Becuase Denki, god bless his soul when Katsuki evenutally blasted him, had pointed out a title on another previous page that Katsuki had titled - ' Explosive Propulsion: preliminary Calculations on Directional Force Control' Eijirou barely knew what half of those words meant! Then, Denki landed the final blow, "Bro, did you write a dissertation on your quirk?"
Katsuki snarls and then he glares at Denki, "Of course i did! I wanted to know how efficient my blasts are and-"
Mina put her hands on her head and screeched. Loudly. "You. Are. A nerd!"
"Ugh!" Katsuki snoffed, "No I'm not! Would you fuckin stop that!"
Katsuki huffed when Eijirou pressed another kiss to his cheek, then another and then another because he couldn't help himself. Katsuki jolted, moving out his arms finally, His face was berry red and it made Eijirou smile inside. "What was that for Ei?"
"For being amazing." Eijirou said smiply.
Katsuki pulled his hood over his head dramatically and sank into the couch while groaning something unintelligable.
but, he did lean back into Eijirou's touch, so he knew that Katsuki wasnt actually mad. Just embarassed.
His cute, sweet embarassed nerdy boyfriend.
Over the next few days, because Eijirou is an observent boyfriend, he noticed Katsuki seemed quieter then usual. Especially around him.
Katsuki was currently falling asleep on Eijirou's lap while he was reading. Nothing unusual there. He was curled up right against Eijirou's front and his glasses had slipped down to the very tip of his nose. The book was nearly falling shut because of Katsuki's odd angle so Eijirou adjusted himself slightly - stopping when he heard Katsuki sigh in protest- and grabbed the red bookmark from his desk side table. His mouth was parted and there was drool pooling in the corner of his mouth and he was snoring slightly - despite Katsuki's many protests that he did not infact 'Fucking snore' Eijirou could feel Katsuki's soft hair tickling his neck as he lay nuzzled in.
If Eijirou had to die, right now, he would have been happy and content to do so.
He stared for the longest moment at his gorgeous boyfriend. He took the deepest breath of his life because he was so helplessly gone for this boy. Eijirou planted a kiss to Katsuki's temple and he stirred awake with a sleep noise of protest. He blinked awake behind foggy lenses. "What're you starin' at...?" Katsuki nuzzled deeper in like he didn't want to wake up.
"Just starin' at my beautiful boyfriend." Eijirou said smiling even though Katsuki couldn't see.
Katsuki shot upright, smacking his head against Eijirou's chin. "Wha- Don't start with that cheesy shit Rou!" Eijirou couldn't take Katsuki's shout seriously when his eyes were still crusted with sleep.
Fuck, he was so cute.
"You are though, babe." Eijirou insisted, cupping Katsuki face before he could even think to escape. Katsuki's eyes darted away and his face was red and flushed. Eijirou could feel the sweat on Katsuki's hands as he tried to wipe them off on his shirt.
"Cut it out."
"Make me." Usually, that would get a smirk from Katsuki and he would instantly start straddling him and planting kisses up and down Eijirou's neck, his face and then, as he slowly peeled Of Eijirou's shirt, his stomach too. Usually, Katsuki would sigh and kiss into Eijirou's lips and swear at him when Eijirou flipped their positions and began placing the same kisses onto Katsuki.
But his eyes darted away instead. What was wrong with him? Had Eijirou done something to upset him? Fuck, that must be it! God he's such an idiot.
"Ugh, I hate you." No he doesnt. Katsuki groaned out loud as he placed his head back into Eijirou's neck.
"No~" He said suggestingly, "You love me~" He wiggled his eyebrows to try and make Katsuki laugh.
"Unfortunately." There was a ghost of a smile and Eijirou decided he would take it. Then, he realised, if Katsuki was upset with him, he wouldn't even be here right now! So, what was wrong with him?
Katsuki didn't move for a minute and Eijirou thought he may have drifted back to sleep, but then he spoke up, his voice quiet. "I'm-i'm not smart like Deku or...ponytail. So don't act like its something special. Okay? Cause it isnt-"
"-Kats," Eijirou interrupted softly, moving Katsuki so he was fully on top of eijirou and he tipped Katsuki's chin up so he would have no choice but to look at him and listen. "You don't have to be them to be smart. You're you. And you're so brilliant Katsuki."
Was he like this because Eijirou and their friends had been teasing him all week? Katsuki's eyes did soften at his words, "You really see me like that?" Katsuki was always so insecure, for how he went about himself in public, out of the comfort of his and Eijirou's rooms, anyone would think he was a cocky arrogent asshole. But underneath that, when Eijirou got to really know him after the USJ and the Sports Festival, he saw how deeply insecure he was about himself.
Eijirou has spent a lot of their first year of dating convincing Katsuki of everything he loved about him and he thought Katsuki understood. Eijirou remembered a magazine published a statement of how Katsuki's own smile was scary. Eijirou was livid reading it, and even more so when his boyfriend stopped smiling for weeks after it. He remembered finding Katsuki in the mirror of his room, when he was late to one of their study dates, practicing to smile 'normally'. Eijirou felt his heart break in that moment.
"Always, baby." Eijirou kissed his forehead and then planted a peck on the tip of Katsuki nose. Katsuki exhaled slowly and rested his head on Eijirou's chest, his shoulders dropping and the tension seemingly melting from him. Eijirou thought it was best not to mention the trembling fingers that grasped his shirt or the tears he felt wetting said shirt. Instead, He just held his Boyfriend closer.
The next morning, after his morning run, Eijirou found a sticky note on his desk stuck to a container of homemade american style pancakes and whipped cream. Eijirou's favourite breakfast.
it read - Thanks for yesterday, Rou
then, under it in very small handwriting, carefully hidden, read:
I needed it, - K
Eijirou grinned so hard his face hurt.
He had the bestest boyfriend.
A few days later, he found Katsuki in the common room helping Kaminari with one of their literature texts. Kaminari had come to Katsuki the day before and asked him, quite uncharacteristically quiet of him, to help him study for their upcoming test.
Katsuki agreed, since he was already tutoring Eijirou. But Denki required different tutoring methods then Eijirou; while he and Katsuki could easily sit in silence and complete essays, presentation or just a sheet of questions, Denki found it the most useful to talk while he studied or what he was studying about. Which is why Katsuki, very sweetly, is talking to Denki about the play their studying in Present Mic's English class - Othello.
Eijirou was leaned on the doorway, watching as Katsuki continued to ramble on and on about the protagonist.
Denki's face was frozen in horror as he looks at Katsuki, who was blank faced, but Eijioru could see he was barely hiding a smirk. "Wait! What? He dies? Why does everyone die in these stories!?"
"Firstly, it's a play not a story," Katsuki said, holding up one of his fingers, he had his contacts in Eijirou noticed and he secretly wished that Katsuki's cute glasses were on. then his boyfriend continued. "And they die becuase it's symbolic. Every death in Shakespeare's plays are symbolic, idiot! Remember? Shakespeare uses tragedy to expose a character's flaw and how that can lead to their downfall. Pay attention-" he rattles off, echoing their sensei's words.
"I am! But he just stabbed himself, man!"
"Yeah that's the whole point Sparky," Katsuki huffed, showing Denki his fully annotated copy of Othello he uses in class. Mic Sensei always loved staring at his book, and Eijirou understood why. It was like a work of art. Colour coded tabs, colour coded highlighting for individual characters, bookmarks and carefully handwritten post-it notes on nearly every page woth full blown analysis'.
"Othello's tragic flaw was believing that bastard Iago, so Shakespeare allows him to realise what he had done wrong by killing him at the end of the play." Katsuki explained, the words just making Eijirou fall in love even more.
"That still doesn't explain why Othello stabbed himself."
"Maybe he stabbed himself because of the guilt of killing his wife, or he didn't want to accept the blame and be punished for the murder." Katsuki smirked then, "But we never actually know the real reason why."
"Woah! What? He's a jerk." Kaminari was up suddenly extremely interested in Shakespeare. It warmed Eijirou's heart because his boyfriend did that. He watched as Katsuki then went on and rambled about the themes of the play and the structure of each act. His hands gestured wildly and his hair bounced as he moved erratically. He was in his element.
It was, to put it very scientifically, the hottest thing Eijirou had ever witnessed.
He approached slowly, "You okay, Babe?" He said as he kissed Katsuki on his neck. Acting as if he had only just arrived.
Katsuki stiffened. His neck was super sensative and Eijirou loved to kiss him there. "Yeah, just helping Sparky with that essay we have to write tommorow for Mic-Sensei before I came up to study with you."
"I know, i coukd hear you" I was watching you, "You were being all cute and clever again."
"Ugh, shut up, Eiji."
Katsuki huffed as Eijirou planted a wet kiss on his cheek, "Never!"
Denki watched them like a nature documentary observer. "Observe the wild Bakugou in his natural habitat, caught mid nerd-"
Katsuki threw a cushion at him, "Fine! Write your own fucking essay Asshole." It missed by two feet. Kaminari got up and begged Katsuki to stay, even though, in Eijirou's opinion, he was never going to get up anyway.
That night, curled around Katsuki's comforter, everything felt quieter then usual. It wasn't silent, nothing was ever completely silent with Katsuki, but it did feel softer. It felt like the world had gotten softer around the edges all of a sudden, so they could just exist, here in eachothers arms.
Katsuki was on top of him, as usual. One leg was hooked and curled over Eijirou's and an arm was slung over his ribs possessively. His glasses were still on, since they had just finished their homework for the evening. His glasses were slightly crooked, the lenses catching the dim light of Eijirou's Crimson Riot lamp on his bedside table. Eijirou reached up and gently nudged them straight. Katsuki huffed, "Stop fussing."
"Can't help it," Eijirou murmured, fingers lingering on the frame longer then it should have. It was an excuse to touch Katsuki's reddening cheek. "you're cute."
"Say that again and i'm fucking movin' and going to my own room."
"You won't." Eijirou said cockily, a challenge rising in his tone.
Katsuki went quiet for a beat, "...I won't." he admitted, quietly, so quiet the air around them could barely pick it up. Even after all this time, Katsuki still got easily embarassed. Eijirou smiled, softer this time, thumb brushing under Katsuki's eye where faint shadows settled from studying too late for their midterms the last few nights.
"You're overworking yourself, Kats." He said passingly. Katsuki hummed and settled into his chest, nuzzling in. It was quiet - blissfully peaceful - for god knows how long. Eijirou decided, if he had to die in this very moment, he wouldn't feel one ounce of sadness.
He was in the arms of his boyfriend, his genius boyfriend.
Katsuki lifted his head up, there was somethign so incredibly soft in his gaze. His pupils were wide and curious and searching to see if Eijirou meant it all. Of course, he found sincerity in his boyfriend's gaze.
Katsuki leaned in first - as Katsuki tended not to really hesitate - and their lips met, soft at first. their kisses always began as a soft peck, barley a touch, a press bascially. However, their gentle press lingered long enough on Eijirou's lips that he felt his chest tighten. Then, Katsuki shifted closer, and it deepened.
Eijirou's hand slid up the back of his neck, fingers threading through soft, messy and slightly damp hair. It kept him there without force, it was just enough pressure to make Katsuki stay in his grip. Katsuki responded immediately and one of his hands braced Eijirou's hair and his other gripped his shirt as he leaned further in. Katsuki's glasses were pressed awkwardly against them, but Eijirou couldn't find it in him to care.
Eijirou huffed a quiet laugh as he pulled back before it got too intense. "Your glasses, babe-" If they broke katsuki would not be happy. He barely even seemed to notice as he carried in peppering kisses to Eijirou's neck.
"Shut up," Katsuki murmured, barely lifting his head up to speak and them all but diving back into the kiss. But, he did yank them off and toss them blindly on the bedside table beside them, they knocked into a glass of water, nearly skipping it all over the floor. The two boys barely heard it.
Katsuki kissed like he fought; powerful, all-consuming and intense.
He gave it his all and Eijirou couldn't help but fele his heart pound and flutter at the revelation. He felt it every time they kissed like this. Eijirou melted into it, slightly pulling Katsuki head back to press sharp bites and licks to Katsuki overly-sensative neck.
He pulled Katsuki fully on top of him, licking and biting and caressing. Katsuki made a small groan above him - half surprised, half pleased and melted even more into Eijirou, the grip on his hair loosening.
They pulled away for a second to catch their breaths, hoarse breaths filled the room. A string of saliva still connected them and Katsuki groaned at the feeling of losing Eijirou's lips against his neck.
Eijirou looked down and saw the red marks that littered Katsuki neck and he looked up at Katsuki's hazy eyes, a little unfocused without his glasses but so incredibly soft. "Your starin' when you should be kissing me."
"Can you blame me?"
"Fucking hell-"
"I'm never gonna stop starin' at you."
Katsuki rolled his eyes, but his hand came up to caress Eijirou's jaw, thumb brushing along his jaw, just as Eijirou had done moments before. "You're a damn sap."
"Your sap." Eijirou grinned.
"Yeah..." Katsuki breathed, moving in closer, now pressing kisses onto Eijirou's own neck. He revelled in the tiny groans he received from Eijirou. "Mine." he leaned in again and again and again.
There was more of an urgency this time, more desperation as Eijirou clung onto Katsuki's shirt as he peppered him with dizzying kisses. He had no idea how long the kisses went on for, but eventually Katsuki pulled away and settled back on Eijirou's place.
Eijirou wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, holding him close while tracing slow, absent-minded patterns along his back. "Hey, Kats," He looked at his boyfriend with a soft smile.
It was around 1 AM on a wednesday night, but he couldn't find it in himself to care about class the next day.
"What, Ei?" Katsuki murmured, sleepily.
"I've loved seeing this version of you."
Katsuki shifted slightly to look up at Eijirou from his chest. "What version?"
"The one who reads weird old books, the one who writes genius notes..." he trails off, before he smiles even wider, "The boy who pretends he's not the smartest person in every room he walks into."
katsuki huffed, "You're so dramatic." And then he sat up further, with mock offence, "And crime and punishment is not that old."
Ahh, so thats the book he was reading the other week.
"Katsuki?" Eijirou says with his eyebrow raised. As if to say 'Seriously?' Not that old - Eijirou could have sworn the book had dust on it.
"What? It was some Russian guy called Dostoyevsky who wrote it in like the 1800's. Not that long ago Ei. Not compared to some other stuff I've read."
"What could possibly be older then that!"
"Ive read stuff from medieval era, idiot."
"...When was that?"
"Idiot we've just learned about that in history! Are you not paying attention?"
"I am, i am. I swear." Eijirou was lying. He was too busy staring at Katsuki sticking his tongue out slightly while making his notes to even listen to the droning voice of Aizawa speak about whatever they were learning about. And, it also gave Eijirou a chance to ask Katsuki on a study date.
Its a win-win really.
"Its the 13th century. Some English guy called Chaucer."
"What!" Eijirou acts mock offended too, baffled at the fact that Katsuki doesnt think that is something to not shout out to the whole world and be proud of. "My boyfriend is the smartest person in the whole world!-" he began to shout.
Katsuki huffs, hiding his face in Eijirou's neck, embarassed. Fuck, he is so cute. Eijirou smiled into his hair, pressing a gentle kiss there. "Okay, i'll stop teasin'"
"Good..." Katsuki trails off, before Eijirou hears a soft, "Thank you,"
"Aww! Katsuki!"
"Don't make it a big deal Shitty Hair!"
"Too late!"
"Weird Hair-"
"You're a nerd!"
"Ugh- Just- Shut up!-"
"-I love you."
That made Katsuki shut up.
Katsuki went still for a second. His grip tightened on Eijirou's shirt as he leaned back down. "Yeah, i know..." A pause, then, almost like he couldn't help it when it bubbled up out of his throat, "...I love you too."
Eijirou chest swelled, he didn't say anything and let Katsuki drift. He soon felt the tell tale sign of Katsuki's snoring and heavy breathing, He pressed another kiss to his temple and moved the blanket over the two of them.
This.
This was everything.
Eijirou tightened his hold, drifting thinking about how ridiculously lucky he was.
And also how he would never, ever get tired of discovering new parts of Katsuki - especially the ones Katsuki likes to hide from others.
Love wasn't loud for Eijirou, it wasn't flashy, it wasn't explosive like Katsuki's quirk. Or even the way mocies made it out to be. There were no fireworks. No dramatics. For Eijirou it was this. The boy in his arms.
Katsuki in glasses.
Katsuki annotating books
Katsuki calculating physics in margins of his notebooks
Katsuki melting into his arms because someone finally saw what he's always wanted someone to see.
Eijirou wouldn't trade that for anything, if anything, he was hungry for more of Katsuki.
Because, at the end of all of this, the truth was simple: A nerdy Katsuki was Eijirou's favourite flavour of Katsuki.
And he couldn't wait to explore every last inch of it.
