Summary
The first time they meet on the tarmac isn’t exactly their first time. The voice is what does it—low and flat, moving through him like a frequency he’d forgotten he was tuned to. It doesn’t land all at once. It lands in pieces, the way bad news does, or good news you’re not ready for. By the time the face resolves into the skull and the insignia resolves into Ghost, Soap already knows.
