   Summary

   "I fucked your mill maid."

The sentence is so rogue, Henry doesn't hear its meaning at first. "What?"

"Theresa," Hans says, and the name is strange on his tongue. A priest delivering a Czech mass. "I fucked her in her stinking barn while you were idling away in Sasau Monastery."

While locked in the Troskowitz pillory, Henry becomes an unwilling participant in the world's strangest confessional.
