Hi Mom! Looking forward to seeing you soon. I hope you're holding up okay, and tell Alba thanks for sending me that message to let me know that you guys are okay, because the whole war thing was the first thing I heard about when I got back in range. Anyway, I know you'll catch me up when I'm back, but I'm honestly so confused.

Like, you leave on a solo expedition past the outer rim for a tiny decade or so, and come back to, well, I don't even know. I've been hearing all sorts of things, so, you're gonna just have to indulge me, because I don't have anything to do while I'm on my way back here, and I've been gathering notes, so I'm just gonna kinda ramble it out, and hopefully you can reply to me, and I'll be maybe a little more caught up before I get back.

First of all, I heard something about the war between the Republic and a separatist group splitting off from the Republic kind of vaguely more core and, like, mid-rim kind of stuff. You know me, I don't pay attention to this. Anyway, all of that and the chancellor was a Sith, which is some kind of bad Jedi thing, and Jedi powers of course, so, apparently it's worse than that or something. They have more power. I don't quite understand.

Anyway, everyone was very shocked, so I guess it was something serious. And to be honest, I got- was getting a lot of this news through, um... Well, I mean, I was bored, so I kinda got attached, or someone passed me some tapes of, uh, like, some space hockey games, so I kinda fell into that a bit. So when I got within data transmission range, I was just kinda seeing what I could catch up with with the games and whatever and I mean, that's definitely a way to get the news, I have to say. I can't complain. I'll take getting the news through entertainment feed fan update kind of things much sooner than through official channels. Thank you.

But I was catching up on some podcasts and seeing posts on the space hockey feeds and, it-- that's how I heard about the whole Sith Chancellor thing. And also a whole bunch of clones. Like since when did the Republic do clones? Or like slaves even?

They're always so, "Oh, we don't do slaves. We're so-- such good people. We don't need slaves. We don't do slaves." I mean, well, you know my opinion about that. We don't need to get into it. But yeah. So I heard about that because one of the players on one of the teams was revealed to be a clone and, you know, political stuff and the clones got rights, so I definitely am happy about that, but I'm kinda confused.

And yeah. I don't even know. And you don't know hockey stuff, I mean, I don't really know hockey stuff either, but I know some hockey stuff. So I'll try to summarize what I've heard. Let's see.

So one of the things was that I... People seem to be speculating that money was getting laundered through hockey, and I could definitely see that. Because you need a lot of money to be running some sort of separatist thing. I guess... how did the chancellor get away with also orchestrating the separatist stuff? Was no one paying attention? I don't get it, to be honest. I really don't get it.

I feel like the Jedi were involved with the hockey stuff somehow. And you probably don't know anything about it from that angle, but one of the podcasts I was listening to, I was kind of getting that feeling.

And y- I'm pretty sure I've spoken to a couple of Jedi shadows here and there, although I don't think that... Well, I mean, I can't be sure that they were shadows, and probably I wasn't supposed to know that they were shadows, but you know. Even people who think they're doing a good job of fitting in and acting like a local, sometimes you're like, "Hmm, you're acting a little too much like a local," and I'm used to being the odd one out, so sometimes it's easier to pick up on that.

Going back, like there was... well, I won't tell you about all the hockey drama 'cause you probably won't care. But I guess I'm kinda confused how hockey ended up with... How does this all intersect? You know, I'm probably gonna just have to ask around. You probably don't even know about some of this stuff. But you're definitely gonna have to tell me about all the politics, or at least whatever has affected you at home.

And, I would like to know what Alba's been up to because I kinda feel like they're maybe more involved than they say they are, but, you know, whatever.

My other thought was, well, sometimes-- Like I said, I feel like the Jedi have something to do with the hockey stuff, but I also kind of feel like... well, my sense is that the Separatists or the Sith or whatever also have something to do with it. And sometimes you get the feeling that there are a lot of people playing and pretending something when on the surface it's something like hockey and underneath there are all these things going on.

And you can kinda convince people of different perspectives, such as which planets will split off by who's on what teams, or do they have teams, or all of that kind of thing. And sometimes when you're coming in from so far out, you feel like, well... talk to the people who are affected by the Hutts! Do they care about hockey?

But yet, I mean, it's entertaining, so I do care about the hockey. I don't know. You know my thoughts about things.

I could tell you about some of my favorite hockey players, but you're probably not gonna care. Alba might have some opinions, but, as Alba probably isn't gonna listen to this, that's fine. I will grab them and tell them about it later.

Yeah. Let's see. Was there anything else that I was gonna ask you about or ramble on about while I'm here? No, that's probably it. But I-- Yeah, that's the last thing I'm gonna say though before I sign off 'cause I definitely need to get some sleep while this ship is still driving itself here.

I am really missing the food, so I really hope that nothing has affected the fields too badly, and I know that's really selfish but it's been like... I mean, I know ten years isn't that long, but it's been ten years. I would really like to have some of my favorite food again. So, if you would maybe be willing to have that ready when I come back, I promise not to talk too much about hockey, but if you could also elbow Alba into being there, I will talk about the hockey with them.

And I wanna know who their favorite hockey player is. I'm guessing it's probably Hayden, but I could be wrong. And they can guess who mine is, and they will be wrong as well.
