Summary
Lara Croft came to Crete for a relic buried under three thousand years of dust. She didn’t expect competition — and she definitely didn’t expect the competition to be Diana Prince, a suspiciously well-informed archaeologist with an enormous wolf who takes an immediate, inexplicable liking to her.
Diana isn’t after credit, or a byline, or anything Lara’s ever had to fight another academic for. She’s after a fragment of a relic that conceals the true location of a place most of the world believes is myth — and she’s not the only one looking. As Lara and Diana race each other, then race together, across Crete, Vienna, and a private island guarded by a man with a hundred-and-thirty-year-old grudge, instant chemistry gives way to something neither woman planned on, even as the people funding Lara’s own dig turn out to be considerably more dangerous than either of them realized.
