Day 1: Freshly Brewed Coffee (Matthew/Leon)
Matthew was prepared to sleep all morning. It was the off season, he could cuddle with his boyfriend and their dog in bed all day if he wanted, and he really wanted to do that today. But when he rolled over expecting to end up curled in his boyfriend’s arms all he got was a face-full of Bowie fur. He lifted his head from the pillow to find the other side of the bed empty. Matthew pouted, laying back down, he was clearly abandoned and was being deprived of his morning cuddles. He was starting to fall back to sleep when he could smell something delicious coming from the kitchen. He groaned, rolling out of bed. Bowie followed, the two heading downstairs and into the kitchen where Leon was standing.
“Why are you not in bed?” Matthew whined, coming to stand beside Leon, leaning his full body weight against him.
“Making breakfast. You had to get out of bed at some point, you know right.”
“I was prepared for all day in bed, but you ruined that by getting out of bed before i was even awake. Which was very rude by the way.”
“Well Bowie needed to go out and was hungry so I didn’t see the point of heading to bed again.”
“Still mad at you.”
“How about you go sit down grumpy pants and I’ll finish up. Sound okay to you?”
“Fine but i expect a kiss first. It’s the least you can do for all my pain and suffering this morning.” Matthew did realize he was really playing this up but he needed Leon to know how upset he was about this situation and that he should never abandon him in the morning ever again.
“You have such a hard life, how do you survive?” Leon grabbed Matthew pulling him in and pressing a lingering kiss against his lips. Leon pulled away with the intention of finishing breakfast when Matthew pulled him back in, hand pressed against the other man’s face to steal another kiss. Matthew pulled back, squishing Leon’s cheeks between his palms, pressing one last kiss to his nose before going and sitting down.
Matthew watched Leon move through the kitchen. The smell of coffee drifted through the kitchen as Leon continued cooking. It wasn’t long before a cup of coffee was being placed in front of Matthew. Leon pressed a kiss to his cheek before going back to cooking. Matthew drank his coffee watching Leon move around the kitchen with ease. Before long a plate was sat down in front of him and Leon was sitting on the chair beside him. The two ate silently, ready for more mornings like this together.
