Alex has gotten used to the fact that George had a very long night routine that he had to do every night without fail. No matter how late it was it or how tired they were George was going to get ready for bed properly. Alex was used to laying in bed by himself at night, listening to the sounds of George in the bathroom; the water running, bottles opening and closing, them tapping against the counter. All so George’s skin could look perfect. Alex was half asleep when George climbed into bed. George immediately curled into Alex, who wrapped his arms around his boyfriend to keep him close to his chest.
“You smell different.” Alex commented, nose buried in George’s hair.
“I got a new nighttime lotion, it’s supposed to help with sleep.”
“What is it?”
“It’s lavender scented. Do you like it?” George was a little worried that Alex wasn’t going to like it. He’s just been having some troubles getting to sleep for the last couple weeks and when he found the bottle of lavender scented lotion that promised good sleep at the store he had to grab it. He thought it smelt good, even changing his entire routine so all the scents would match the new lotion. If Alex didn’t like the smell it would be okay but George was hoping he did because he really likes it and he could tell it was helping him to relax.
“It’s nice, calming.” Alex’s eyes slowly slipped close again. The scent coming off of George was nice and relaxing. He could feel himself relaxing, feeling George do the same against his chest.
“Good night Lex, love you.”
“Night George, love you too” Alex pressed a gentle kiss against the top of George’s head. He could get used to George coming to bed late if he always smelt this good. It wasn’t long until both were asleep, the scent of lavender all around them as they drifted off together.
