Chapter Text
Having confirmation that Zero was, indeed, her brother had been more than a relief to Euphemia.
After all, the doubts had been eating away at her for months.
That being said, there was still one thing bothering her.
Euphemia tilted her head, frowning slightly.
Why had Lelouch been so certain she would shoot him?
She would never do that. Not even for the person who had murdered their elder brother.
Cornelia might, if she were enraged enough—and if relief hadn't hit her first—but Euphemia wasn't particularly vengeful.
Lelouch chuckled, his mask tipping slightly in his hand.
"It's because of my Geass, you see?"
She blinked.
Geass?
"It allows me to command people to do whatever I want." His gaze wandered almost absently around the room, his violet eye flashing an unconscious red.
"For example, if I were to command you to 'kill all the Japanese people,' you wouldn't be able to stop me."
In less than a moment, Euphemia's own eyes flashed red.
Blood rushed to her brain in a sudden flux, the command reverberating over and over.
The instinct to obey seized her hands.
Her gaze snapped toward a nearby gun.
Until—
Japanese people…
Her entire body stilled.
…What were they again?
She had vaguely heard the term before, but she'd never really stopped to assimilate it.
She knew it had once been the legal name for the Elevens, but… were they actually still called that?
Was Suzaku?
Euphemia blinked.
Her mouth opened, then closed.
Slowly, she turned toward her beloved older brother, lips pursed in confusion.
"...What do you mean by Japanese people?"
This time, it was Lelouch's turn to blink.
He looked genuinely confused, almost like a deer caught in headlights
"Huh? Did you say something?"
She tilted her head.
The blood rushing through her veins gradually settled back to normal.
"Ah, nothing." She smiled, her gaze flicking back to violet—though neither of them noticed it.
"Anyway, about my plan. Now that you're fully on board, let's try deciding on the finer details…?"
