"What do you see in that guy?"
That was a question constantly asked by the public, whether it be to their friends, their families, or even their co-workers. They desperately wanted to know if there was a logical reason to what they saw as pure madness. Especially when it came to the chosen partner(s) of the ones they thought they knew. They simply couldn't fathom how one could choose them in spite of several reasons.
So it wasn't much of a surprise when Toon superstars Bugs Bunny, Road 'Roadie' Runner, and Tweety Bird, while answering questions during an interview for their cartoons were suddenly hit with the very same question of:
"What do you see in that guy?"
Those "guys," were referring to their partners: none other than Daffy Duck, Wile E Coyote, and Sylvester James Pussycat respectively. Only now...their relationships weren't ONLY for the cameras. They were very much real and VERY much together.
While the nearby Daffy, Wile E, and Sylvester braced themselves for their partners' answers, fully expecting them to get angry....Bugs, Roadie, and Tweety all turned to each other, sharing a knowing look. They couldn't help but recall that one Jessica Rabbit was asked this question long ago by Eddie Valiant.
And they couldn't help but answer with the very same answer she gave all those years ago.
"Ehhh...he makes me laugh." Bugs smirked, tapping the microphone and wrapping an arm around Daffy, winking at the reporters. Daffy, for his part, spluttered out a myriad of noises, unable to come up with a dignified response.
"He makes me laugh!" Tweety grinned, flying close to Sylvester and giving him a peck on his furred cheek, causing Sylvester to blush heavily and look to the side in shocked flusteredness, though a small proud smile was present on the cat's face the whole time.
"HE MAKES ME LAUGH." Roadie signed, a cheerful 'Beep Beep!' emerging from him as he sped to Wile E and nuzzled against the coyote's side unexpectedly, causing Wile E to completely drop the sign he was about to pull out in absolute astonishment.
"And we wouldn't trade him for the world," all three superstars responded at the exact same time, sharing a smile between them as they continued to embrace their chosen partner.
The reporters were left holding their microphones in pure awe, several mouths hanging wide open as they found themselves unable to ask any more questions as they viewed the display in front of them.
No story, no matter how strongly written, could EVER capture the absolute magic being shown right now. They had been given exactly what they wanted right on a silver platter....and they couldn't find the words.
And the six Looney Tunes absolutely knew it.
"I think we're done here," Bugs grinned as he turned away from the microphone stand and left with his arm still around Daffy, gesturing to Roadie and Tweety to follow him. Nodding at Bugs, the two birds gently took Sylvester and Wile E's hands in their own and led them away from the scene, smiling all the while.
