Summary
Years after graduation, Kugisaki Nobara returns to the countryside she once escaped to investigate a curse that gives other people’s words far too much power. Meanwhile, Inumaki Toge has spent his life granting those words exactly that kind of consideration, measuring himself by the harm he might cause. Somewhere between their two extremes Nobara has to learn that understanding him is more complicated than remembering what 'shake' and 'okaka' mean.
