Summary
The Fourth Shinobi War is over. Kakashi is on his way to becoming the Sixth Hokage, Naruto is still years away from the hat, and Uchiha Sasuke has returned to Konoha under probation, surveillance, and conditions that look considerably more like containment than freedom—for both him and Sakura, the Medical Lead assigned to his clearance.
When a match strikes between them amid oversight, political scrutiny, old grief, and ordinary days they never expected to have, they learn that departure does not always mean abandonment—and that having somewhere to return to can be its own kind of staying.

Another small flame snapped to life between his fingers. Then he noticed movement at the end of the street.
Sasuke stilled.
A familiar figure turned the corner, pink hair catching the last of the light.
Sakura.
For a moment he did not move. Then the next fireball guttered out between his fingers.
