To say they love each other is the biggest understatement of all.
So it’s objectively stupid to be so hung up on something as asinine as a hook-up with a (basically but not really) coworker that literally meant nothing more.
And yet here he is, completely and utterly jealous.
“I want you to forget. And I don’t want to keep seeing Kafka in my mind’s eye. So I’ll replace those memories with one of mine if that’s what I have to do.”
In an instant the water snaps onto Blade’s wrists, the cloudhymn forming into an elegant handcuff tying his hands together behind his back. The rest of the cloudhymn creeps up his skin, snaking around his arms and over his shoulder, down his pecs and his abdomen in a shimmery, watery imitation of a shibari.
Or, Dan Heng gets jealous when he sees a forgotten wad of rope and handcuffs on Blade’s nightstand from his long-past dalliance with Kafka, and Dan Heng takes matters into his own hands.
