Work Text:
After the mind meld, Spock cannot sleep.
It is natural to be discomfited by such intense mental intimacy when the bond was temporary and unplanned. But still, it is not a new or unusual experience, and Spock's own discipline should be equal to it.
It is not.
He wanders the ship, eventually making his way to the Port Galley, quiet at this hour, to look out at the stars.
He is somehow unsurprised to find Kirk standing there. Kirk greets him with a nod. Neither of them speaks.
Spock stands a metre away, and yet, he no longer feels alone.
